Boyband SHINee is composed of five contemporary members of a prestigious entertainment company, SM Entertainment. It consists of members Onew, Taemin, Jonghyun, Minho, and Key. The meaning of their name, ‘SHINee’: ‘SHINE’ means light, and ‘ee’ is a suffix, thus meaning ‘the person receiving the light’. Their goal as a contemporary band is to be a trendsetter in all fields of music, fashion, dance, etc. Unlike other SME groups, they remain ‘secret’ to various articles about them appeared on the internet on May 19, 2008. On 22 May 2008, their music video for their debut single, Nunan Numoo Yeppeo (Replay), or nuna is so Pretty (NYSP) is released, and their first stage performance was in Mnet’s M! Countdown, also on May 22, 2008. On 23 May, their first mini album, Replay, was released and debuted at # 10 on the charts and peaked at # 8. On 25 May 2008, made their official debut performance on SBS ‘Inkigayo. ‘Nuna’ literally means ‘elder sister’ used by men, but also can be used as a term of affection of older women. On August 28, 2008, their official debut album, The SHINee World, was released. The title of this song Sanso Kateun Neo (You’re like Oxygen, or Love Like Oxygen). On October 30, 2008, they released their first album repackaged called Amigo. Single Ah.Mi.Go promotion which stands for ‘Areumdaoon Minyuhreul Joahhamyun Gosenghanda’, literally means, ‘if you love beautiful women, you will menderita’maka dr that the same key like normal girls like me. SHINee has comeback with ’21st Century concept Romeo ‘in the new mini-album, Romeo, who was released on April 25, 2009, one year of their birthday. The title song is ‘Juliette’, the lyrics are written by Jonghyun. Stage their return on June 5, 2009 on KBS Music Bank and won # 1 on the same day.
SHINee really the best newcomer in 2008. It also has even said that they are the most successful group ever to debut, because most of the other bands A new list is not very famous in their debut, for example, Big Bang, and most of the time, many new groups to debut yet never heard of again. They swept all the awards of new entrants and even in the top charts with their single Love Like Oxsigen on September 18, 2008. Love Like Oxsigen reached # 1 on Mnet’s M! cowtdown and also received the Award for topping the charts Mutizen on SBS ‘Inkigayo. They are also on top of the charts in KBS Music Bank by Juliette on June 5, 2009 (the day of their return) and 19 June 2009. They received the Award for Mutizen SBS Inkigayo on June 28, 2009 and July 5, 2009. They also began what is called SHINee trends, which consists of skinny jeans, high top sneakers, and a colorful sweater. They have filmed four CFS each for Smart (a uniform brand) that they also recorded the Song for the Blue Pink, Pineapple ‘B (a Korean cosmetics company), Reebok, and Clride.n, a clothing brand. They also became the model for various magazines and branded clothes such as Smart, Clride.n, Vogue, Elle, etc. SHINee also filmed 12-episode reality show that lasted from August to October in 2008, called SHINee’s Yunhanam. Yunhanam literally refers to the concept of man younger woman dating an older, contributing to SHINee’s nuna concept. They participate in the Campaign No Smoking, record their own versions of their songs are also participating in the Save Energy, Save Eart Campaign, also recording their own version of the song. They have recorded “Eco-Water Song ‘to raise awareness about water conservation which they also appeared in Environmental Water Campaign. SHINee also have contributed to the OST, titled “Stand By Me” are very popular Kdrama Boys Over Flowers, a remake of the popular Japanese manga Hana Yori Dango. They also recorded the song ‘Bodyguard’ for Anycall CF BOF featuring popular SoEul pair (So Yi Jung Chu Ga Eul). SHINee also donated an OST, Countdown, to Kdrama ‘Dream’ starring Kim Bum and Son Dambi. They also released a song, Seaside, along with fellow members of BC in SMTOWN 09 albums. Their fanclub is called SHINee World (ShaWol) after their first album and one song in their first album, or more recently, Juliettes, after announcing that SHINee Juliette in the title song from the second mini-album is their fans. they Fansclub color is blue.
